ARM has just announced ARMv8 architecture which not only support 32bit, but also adds support for 64bit execution. In ARM speak, this is AArch32 and AArch64. This is indeed exciting news for me as I’ve been waiting for this for quite some time now. Now, ARM, please make documentation for A64 ISA freely available soon!
Hi Karel,
It’s bit early for the documentation. However, you might want to have a look at some resource already available:
http://www.arm.com/products/processors/technologies/instruction-set-architectures.php on the ARMv8 Resource tab.
Cheers, Alban
Hi Alban,
thanks a lot for the info, I’ve already got it from somewhere else and already working on another very short article.
Anyway thanks!
Karel
